My Work

I mainly focus on bird photography, but most things in the natural world tickle my interest, so here you’ll also find examples of landscape, flower, fungi and insect macro photography. I also usually have a camera on me when I go travelling.

Bird photography

From garden visitors to coastal waders, birds in their habitats across the UK and beyond, with a focus on behaviour and character as much as plumage.

The steep ridgeline of Cribyn seen from the summit of Pen Y Fan, with rolling green moorland and hazy hills stretching into the distance across the Brecon Beacons

Landscapes

Wide skies, moody coastlines and quiet woodland. The places I keep coming back to, in different light and different seasons.

Mushrooms sprouting from mossy log in a lush forest setting.

Macro

A closer look at the smaller beauties in nature: fungi, wildflowers and insects, often from just a few centimetres away.

The vast atrium of the Grande Galerie des Engins et des Hommes at Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg, with submersibles, a large sailboat sculpture, and two visitors dwarfed beneath the arched glass ceiling

Travel

What catches my eye when I’m somewhere new. Architecture, street scenes, landscapes, wildlife. A mix of the planned and the stumbled-upon.
